Chaired by David Brindle, Public Services Editor at The Guardian, stakeholders debated the reform of the care and support system with:

  • James Purnell, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions
  • Hazel Blears, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government
  • David Behan, Director General for Social Care, Local Government and Care Partnerships
  • John Dixon, President of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services
  • Stephen Burke, Chief Executive of Counsel and Care
  • Baroness Jane Campbell, Equality and Human Rights Commissioner
  • Ivan Lewis, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Care Services.
