Members of the public in East Anglia had their say on the reform of adult care and support in England when the Big Care Debate Roadshow pulled into Norwich from Friday the 25th to Monday the 28th September.

The Roadshow offered members of the public the chance to join the Big Care Debate and have their say on the reform options set out in the Government's consultation document Shaping the Future of Care Together. Click on the icon below to hear what people had to say.

As well as speaking to Big Care Debate ambassadors, people can join the debate in a variety of other ways. There was a seating area where people can watch information videos and talk to Big Care Debate representatives, and a 1-2-1 area for those wishing to give their response in private.

They could fill in the Big Care Questionnaire, or add their comments on this website, via a touch screen computer system.

For those with less time to engage, there were paper copies of the Big Care Questionnaire, our public leaflets and postcards. These could be filled in on the spot or taken away and posted later.

The roadshows were a key part of the Government’s plan to engage with a range of stakeholders and citizens across England. This helped to raise awareness of the issues contained in the Green Paper, and allowed people to have their say on the major issues around reform of the adult care and support system and the creation of a new National Care Service.
